A poultry processing plant (grease pond) located in Cottonwood, Alabama. It was comprised of poultry fats, with a hard crust around the edges and a soft crust in the middle. Malodor was also present.
A pipe was installed so SEBS could be pumped into the pond; the pipe was for aeration as well.
After introducing SEBS, the pond was able to take on water.
After only 8 1/2 weeks, the floating grease was completely gone and 80% of the solid at the bottom of the pond had been removed.
